5D-milling at Rime
We decided to expand our train of machinery by investing in a new milling machine. With the new machining centre we are able to offer our customers new and interesting possibilities to process sheet metal. We acquired the Hedelius T7 4200 machining centre with 5 axis.
- extreme large workspace
- X, Y, Z-travel (4,200/3,630 x 750 x 500 mm)
- circular table with a diameter of 750 mm
- interference area: 1,100 mm
- shuttle operation: 2 x 1,800 mm
- swivel range (± 98°)
- automatic access to up to 50 tools
- high milling performance with high precision
- processing long and bulky parts
2014: Expansion of the production area by a further 3,000 square metres!
2014 will also bring many changes! A few days ago the first sod was cut for further expansion of our factory building. Thanks to the new bay we will gain a further 3,000 m² of production area. The new building will also be significantly higher, so that in the near future we will be able to offer even larger and heavy welded constructions with up to 50 tonnes total weight.
After the planning and design had been completed, on 14 April the first sod was cut for construction of the new building. The timetable for the construction project is very tight and an hour after the ground-breaking ceremony earthworks began for construction of the foundation. The building is due to be completed on 3 October 2014. Apart from the enlarged welding department several new CNC machines are also due to be installed, which will extend our sheet metalworking options still further.
